Lauren Walker visits the Capitol

Last Wednesday through Friday, Lauren visited Capitol Hill as a part of Capitol Hill Day, organized by the Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology (FASEB). Lauren's participation was made possible by the Howard Garrison Fellowship she received from the Teratology Society.

Lauren, along with a group of 58 scientists from 30 states, received advocacy training the day before heading to the Hill to meet with their local and state representatives to discuss their research and make the case for increased funding for scientific research.
