Jolie Carreon and Hannah Naverrete represent zur Nieden lab at RISE and MARC U-Star Summer Symposia
Jolie and Hannah presented their most recent contributions to zur Nieden lab's tobacco research at the RISE and MARC U-Star Undergraduate Research Symposia this week.
RISE and MARC U-Star are summer research and 2 year, respectively, programs that prepare undergraduate students from underrepresented groups for graduate school. The programs sponsor student participation in UCR research laboratories and also provide seminars and workshops on presentation skills and graduate school to supplement student training.
Both programs culminate with a 2-day research symposium at the end of the summer.
Great job, Jolie and Hannah!
